Has anyone come up with a way of cushioning the 3PH on an L3400? I'm thinking there should some place where you could put a restrictor in the feed to the internal cylinder.

Little confused, why do you need that or what is the issue your having?

This model is famous for jerky 3PH lift and mine is more severe than most. When you move the lift lever it does nothing for a ways then jumps all at once even if the throttle is at an idle. Very hard on my old back.

There have been several threads on this issue. The biggest one I can find that had most data is found here:

Your dealer may be able to help you with this if the unit is still under warranty, if not, you may have to do some exploration yourself or a good mechanic buddy. The dealer can still do it but then they charge if it's not under warranty.
