I think it's time I changed the fronts on my BX2360. The stock OTR R4s are looking worn and one continually leaks.

I was at my local tire shop this morning have a screw in my truck tire repaired and asked about replacing the BX tires. The guy there said he could get me the OTR R4s but suggested an entirely different brand.

This is what he suggested I use instead - looking at the info online it appears these are designed for a skid steer but he was very confident they'd work better and last longer than the stock tires. Any thoughts? He quoted me $194 total to swap/mount both of them.

If the picture is really what the tires look like they seem to have a bit more aggressive tread than stock R4's. Let us know how it turns out, I should not need tires for about 20 years but always good to know options.

They're aren't quite as aggressive in person. I snapped a couple pics of the one he showed me.

BillK01,

I just got done ordering the fronts for my BX2350 directly from OTR. I dealt with Shanna and got GREAT customer service. Had the tires delivered to my door in 3 days (NO SHIPPING CHARGES) $130.00 for both.

Contact: phone (706) 235-9781 2063.

Thanks Dave. I've thought about ordering directly from them too - but was hoping to see if anyone had any experience with these ones first. Trying to get something with a sturdier sidewall than the OTRs. I still might go that way - not sure I like the idea of putting tires designed for a skid steer on my BX since I probably use it for mowing 85% of the time. Don't really want to find out they rip up my lawn after the fact.

BillK01,

So far, I'm pleased with the OTR fronts on my BX. I finally got them loaded with W/S washer fluid (against Kubota recommendations) and have only noticed a SLIGHTLY MORE HARSH ride. But, I do run the fronts at 30 psi, not the recommended 20 psi max. I feel that the new tires from OTR have a bit MORE STIFF sidewall than the originals, IMHO. Also, I noticed that the new tires were made the 20th week of 2017 and toe old ones were made the 12th week of 2005. That was 3 years BEFORE my tractor was built ! ! ! Talk about long term warehouse storage ! ! !

As stated before, I have dealt with OTR in the past and will deal with then again in the future.
