I've had my Kubota Z251BR-54 for about 2 1/2 years now. I've noticed over time the rubber spring dampners that sit on the deck tensioner spring are wearing into the deck making a noticeable divot, and I'm concerned eventually they'll wear all the way through. I assume it's caused by dirt and whatever else getting between the rubber and the deck, and with all the vibration it's slowly eroding the metal. Deck model is RCK54P-127ZA.

I'm wondering what other people do to combat this? I'm thinking of adding some adhesive rubber stripping or perhaps a wear plate or something to protect the deck.

You need to determine why the pulley is moving down to the point of contact. Fix why it is out of position, instead of trying to place something underneath to slow the wear. Fix it right, or it will get worse no matter what you do to try and protect the deck shell.
