Hello,
I have been following alot of the threads regarding these two tractors and just wanted to post before I made a purchase.

My two quotes are as follows:
B2650 w SSQA 54" bucket
LP RC 1248
BB 1248
2042 Pallet Forks
QH15 quick hitch
Loaded Rears

L2501
LP RC 1260
2042 Pallet Forks
BB 1260
QH15 Quick Hitch
Loaded Rears

So first question for the 2650 is moving up to the 60" light materials bucket vs the 54". I've read that the 60" is a little lighter duty due to Kubota not wanting you to overload it? I think the 54" is a good choice but curious if those who own a 54 would want the 60 or vice versa.

I think the rotary cutter and the box blade are the cheapest price wise of those respective implements. Should I move up to the RCR15 series? Looks like I can cut some thicker stuff with the 15 series.

The BB is pretty light. I am more concerned with this being on the B series vs the L. Should I opt for a heavier one if I will be using it as my ballast? Maybe a different brand?

The quick hitch seems pretty valuable but I've been told I can save a little money and just get one from tractor supply?

Thanks for any info! Much appreciated.

I got pretty much the same implements with my L2501 I bought about a month ago. I have used all the implements and they seem fine and well made. I would pony up a few more $$ and get the 48" forks. I wasn't sure at the time (42" vs 48") but knew I would have the forks a long time and am glad I did. I use those forks more than I thought I would already. No question get the quick hitch. I had my dealer install the same one at the last minute and am glad I did. I am swapping implements all the time and that makes it easy. You did not mention if you were getting the quick attach for the bucket. That is a must and am relieved I upgraded to that as a switch from buckets to forks a lot. Overall I am very happy with my tractor and implements I chose. I went over my budget but this is one time I am glad I did as I have zero regrets. At the end of the day it did not raise my monthly payment more than $20/mo but I have already figured out having a quick hitch, quick release bucket, and pallet forks was well worth the slightly higher payment.

I went with the 60" QA bucket for the B2650. It is plenty heavy duty enough and wide enough to cover your tire width for moving dirt or snow. The tractor with proper ballast handles the 60" no problem. The QA is nice to use other attachments or to take bucket off to remove weight while mowing. I havent read very many users going with the 54".

Yep, definitely getting the skid steer quick attach.

I think the 54" bucket is the default bucket but will inquire about price change for the 60". thanks!

I guess I figured that on the 2650 having a heavier box blade on the back as ballast would be better. Maybe though people are using different ballasts on the B series than they would on the L.

I will look into the 48" forks vs the 42". I am doing the 0% for 84 months so figured if I upgraded some of the implements I would only be adding a few bucks on the monthly payment.

Quick attach is a must
60" bucket is made identical to the 54" lawyers make them say light material
I WISH I got the heavier box blade, even with loaded rear tires. that being said if I fully load the 60" bucket it needs more ballast! I have picked up a used weigh bench when I get time I plan to add the bar and weights to my box blade, then I can tailor the weight as needed. In the winter the box blade is great for scraping snow down but don't need any additional weight like working with dirt.. Hope that helps...

Ok so I am going to pull the trigger on the 2650 this week (unless I switch my mind to the 2501 at the last minute). My original dealer quoted me a 48 inch Rotary Cutter and a 48 inch box blade. But after researching these implements it seems like the 2650 can pull a 60 inch RC no problem. Also, a 48 inch box blade doesn't even cover the width of the tractor. So a 54 or 60 inch box blade makes more sense, right?

I just pulled the trigger on a 2501 and the dealer suggested a 66" boxblade and a 60" mower. but the L series being heavier than the B series might get more traction and therefore handle the wider box better. as for the cutter, I suspect 60" is correct for both tractors unless your cutting demands are heavy, in which case you could cut at a faster tractor speed with the smaller mower.

Definitely go with the 60" RC and go with the 60" box blade to cover your tire tracks. I run a bigger box blade than that on my B2650 and it handles it no problem. You will enjoy your new machine!!
