B2301 Torn right front steering boot

I tore the boot off the front tie rod (I think) on some hidden fence wire. How big a deal is this? Can any recommended what I need to do fix it? Is it as simple as putting the clip back over the boot?

As long as the boot is not torn/damaged, you can put the clip back on. 'Sprial' it off out of the groove, pull the boot through, put the boot back on the inner part of the joint, then 'sprail the retainer on. Some just remove the retainer and use a very thing zipty or safety wire.
