3rd function not controlling grapple hydraulics at same time

I just installed a Summit Hydraulics 3rd function kit on my B2301. When I hooked up my grapple, the left side hydraulic opens/closes completely before the right side begins opening or closing. I’m a newbie to hydraulics so I’m not sure what I should be looking for, or is this normal (which I don’t think it is). Thank you!

Edit - I misspoke. They’ll both kind of operate at the same time but the left one is much quicker and always goes first.

You see this often on dual claw grapples. When the pistons are in series, it is normal. The lower pressure side will always start first. This will make grabbing odd sized objects more effective.

Cycle it a few times, right cylinder may have some air that hasn't cycled thru system. Right side may have more friction and needs additional greasing. Being seperate clamps, don't think they will ever be synchronized, would expect both to open/close together.

Thanks - I’ll cycle it a bit more but will go with the expectation that it’s designed to not be in sync.

To be expected, nothing to be concerned about. In fact, as already mentioned, you want them to work independently for closing down on odd sized loads to get the best grip possible. (y)
