Evening,

I've been working a 2003 M9000 DT-Cab tractor for about 4 years now. The tractor has always ran great, but I've had an issue twice now pulling a disc or fertilizer buggy. (Heavy and under load) Engine running 2100 RPM running strong will loose power and die. I can pump the primer and sometime bring it back to life. Cleaned separator, changed fuel filter, I buy filtered red diesel. Sucking air somewhere? Fuel tank vents plugged with bugs? Any ideas. 3640 hrs on the meter.

Thanks,

Reiley

Maybe Bulldog will be along shortly I know he has a M9000 for a few years now. He might have an answer for you.

Thanks Eric...! Pretty quiet here on the forum. This fuel issue apparently is a somewhat common issue. Looks like if the vents are clear, install a new lift pump and you're done. The one way valve in the parts picture is somewhat of a bad print issue as it is actually the one way valve return back to the fuel tank from the fuel rail. Went ahead and ordered a Work Shop Manual, should be the best $75 bucks ever spent. :)

Bulldog... you out there?

Lift pump would have been my next suggestion. Definitely sounds like a fuel starvation issue though.

I agree with Stumpy, if the lift pump is going out it will run and then die for no reason. Sometimes I have seen them not run at all when it craps out.

This must be a very common issue no matter what brand.

Reiley, the first thing you will notice when your vent tubes are plugged is when you put fuel in it will fill the left side tank and the right side (sending unit side) will still be sitting about the same level when you started pumping fuel. I have had mine get plugged and have to run a coat hanger in to bust it loose. As tempting as it may be don't blow the lines out. Everything you blow thru the lines will end up in your tank to haunt you later.

Yes Sir... Since I have lost the spring in the primer top just moving it around the screw came out, spring gone... found the top "Button". So that is ordered. Also found the fuel line fitting at the rear separator loose in the separator housing. Ordered one... With all this, and a new lift pump, clean the vent lines we should be fixed. Total Kubota Factory Parts Cost with shipping... $335. Not Bad at all. :)

The other link you were monitoring came to resolution (for his problem anyway).
