Hello my Friends,

I thought that maybe some guys here are also interested in shooting rifles.

So I organized some medals and want to make a distance tournament.

The rules are simple:

Distance 100m or 109yd
Rifle as you like
Shooting Position as you like
2 rounds per fly
Hits are counted like this: Head 5, Body 3, Wing 2, Leg 1 Point
Maximum is 90 points.

Hope the judging get not to difficult by comparing .22 and .50 cal holes.
(If there will be to many with 90 points, I will compare those by hitted the fly with the center of the hole)

The target is like this:

(PDF - File)

Please use the scale to print it out that it fit the 5cm (2") marks.

After you have shooted your rounds, make a photo / scan (jpg) of the target and send it to ott@cabu.de

The tournament ends with the 31 of July 2012.

I will do my best to analyze the results and extract the first, second and third place. They will get their medals by mail!! :D

It's free and a gift from me to us -> OTT

ps: maybe next year we will change the flys to little green tracors...

Just got my new Semi. It is an AR-10 derivate (.308) and Made in Germany. Even that I will not participate in the tournament, I like to share some pics with you :D

Setup:

Cleaning between the rounds:

First two groups for adjusting the optic.

Why is there always an escapee?

Don't forget to kill some flys

After all that tractor-porn I thought some gun-porn would be nice. :D

But as an tractor gun it would be a little bit to much. Especially in Germany!!

carl
It might be a little much but, I'd do it. It would fit right in here in the southern U.S.

How would the ATT treaty possibly affect you in Germany, if at all, if passed like it would limit us in the U.S.?

Germany is very strict with weapons. I am allowed to carry it on my own property if it has a fence/wall around it. Carrying but not shooting! The only thing you are allowd to shoot is a BB gun if the bullet can't leave your property. You are only allowed to shoot at a shooting range.
If you want to carry a gun with you in public, you need a special "need" to get that permission. I do not know a person who know somebody with that permission. Very strikted. Looks like the government don't trust us.
If you want to buy a weapon, you have to be in a Club for at least 12 month, did 18 training sessions, did a 2 day course in handling weapons (20% fail the test) and have no bad record in the police database.
You are only allowed to own 2 hand guns and 3 semi automatic rifles. Normal rifle like Remington 700 you can have more. But you can only buy max 2 weapons per 6 month. If you want more hand guns or semi, you need special 'needs'. No Way to get a full-auto. Only for government...

Not so funny in Germany. The reason for that was the terror in the 70's when a German terror-group killed some high politicians and economy leaders. Some Germans are not so sure who started the terror, the group or the Government. By the way, the Government killed first, a student spokesman at a demo.
Yes, there is a reason for the 2nd amendment in the constitution of the US-States.

Carl, thanks for the information. Thats just what I wanted to know. I find the gun laws in other countries very interesting.

Again, Thanks.
