This is my first post also new to tractor ownership so bear with me guys. I recently purchased a "grey" remanufactured Kubota tractor from Japan which has on the engine side covers the emblem "L1-275". This tractor is diesel, 4WD, 3 cylinders with "1462" stamped on the right side of the engine block & lower down on the same side of the block "LL". Tyre sizes (agricultural) are 7x16 front and 11.2 x 24 rear. On the chasis rail, left side the following information is stamped on the compliance plate : L1 275D ( I presume model designation), L1CD, D1462-TVH ( I presume engine type) and 93691. This tractor was sold to me as either a 27HP or 32HP depending on how you calculate the HP - engine HP or at the PTO. Now comes the problem - my reading of specifications for Japanese model L1-275 indicates it should be a 4 cylinder engine. Did the Japanese ever market for their market a 3 cylinder version of the L1-275 or have I been ripped-off. Thanks Kevin (Australia)

Hopefully vic will chime in on this one, but it sounds like a L275DT (American) equivalent. If that's the case I believe it is a 3 cyl motor. My dad used to own a L295DT that was a 3 popper rated at 29HP. I'm assuming yours is a 27HP.

thanks for the information, Threekillerbee, you are right in that it is a 27HP, I can now get the correct manuals from the US, regards Kevin

Thanks Vic, the engine in the tractor is a D1462-TVH. Is it still the L295DT or L275DT manuals I need - it is a 3 cylinder. Regards Kevin (Australia)
