Equipment
L3901, LA525-FEL, BMLX-3164 3pt Blower, 72" Coteck Sno Pusher, 60" Box Blade
Have been on the site now for a few months doing research on Kubota. I finally decided to purchase a new L2501, with a 3pt blower and the FEL. So far, I am tickled pink with the tractor. I have owned several makes and models to date, but I really love my Kubota. I wanted to post some pics of the LED Work Lights and warning Beacon I installed on my tractor, in case some of you were looking for mounting options. Mounting plates and brackets are all Aluminum, scavenged from scrap piles at work.
Photo 1 shows the side view of the mounting bracket with lights. I did not want to drill in to the ROPS, so with some 1/4" Aluminum Plate, some Aluminum Chemical Tray cut in half lengthwise, and U-Bolts, I was able to securely fasten everything together. The design is purposely compact, and features the Professional Grade warning Beacon and 2-12 inch LED Work Lights.
Photo 2 Shows the rear view of the set up.
Photo 3 shows the Aluminum plate which is the platform of the whole attachment.
Photo 4 shows the Exterior Grade PVC Junction Box I purchased at the hardware store. I used this because I did not want to drill holes into the cowling or dash of the tractor. Since I wash my equipment often, being waterproof is a must, plus it provides a stable and easily accessible location to troubleshoot any problems in the system that could arise. There are 3 waterproof switches installed in the cover of the box, and I even installed a weatherproof 12 volt power port in the bottom of the box as well. There is only one fused main power wire coming from the Battery, and all of the connections for the system are in the Junction Box. All wiring is run through Wire Loom and Tie Wrapped for protection. I will probably paint the box to match the tractor when warmer weather arrives.
Hope this can help someone out, who is trying to find a way to set up their lights.
