I had the bucket full of gravel and made a sharp turn to where I needed to dump it, and that's when I heard something break, then the tranny started binding up. I used the loader to raise the front wheels of the ground because I thought I must have broken a bevel gear. Thank goodness it was just the universal joint. I didn't know how bad it was till I got it back to my shop and pulled the yokes off. It looks like it been wore out for quite awhile. New yokes and joint are ordered, and should be in by the time I get back home from vacation.

There wasn't a grease fitting on mine either. I've put a little over 100 hours on her since I bought her, and about half of those was in 4x4. I hope the new joint last as long as the original :)

Well, I guess we need to do full inspections every so many hours. I think it's in our schedules but I'll be darned if I have that memorized... :D

Curious where you have a U-Joint on your 3901? You're basically the same as the 32/3800 and we don't have any. As far as grease points, oh, you do have many including pedals. ;)
Yeah, for some reason a 0400 this morning I was fussy headed and thinking about the drive shaft for my bush hog, brand new and I'll be dang if there and one grease fitting on the u joints in the shaft, I'll be taking care of that though. The new tractor takes a hour to grease all the stinking fittings on it plus the Bh77. I had to keep looking in the manual to be sure I had them all. This was the first time greasing it since it was delivered and I found about 25% of My fittings were loose. Sorry for the confusion BotaDriver.
