Hello everyone.
I spent a day toying around with the idea of a front blade
Operated with three point hitch.
This is on my l1501 tractor
11 foot i beam, 4-1/2 foot pusher blade
Pivot under axle and welded a bar to connect to 3 point
Lift arms. Two feet behind that are two
24x30 patio blocks.

Theory is up on lift arms- pushes blade to ground
Down- gravity and cement blocks lift the blade.

Suprisingly it works well. Tried to put up photos, but it
I seem to have failed miserably.

Sounds good to me! Try again with the pictures - while typing a message, drop down to "Manage Attachments" and load them in. The blocks in the back should keep reasonable traction on the rear tires - a great idea! Kudos! You can pill the swivel pin at the front axle and drive away from it, right?

Two pins under axle, and two pins on lift
Arms. I have to pull blocks off and back away.
Tried it tonight. A little bit of a pain. Going
To turn blocks 90 degrees so they narrower and
Easier to back over. Pushes that 50" wide blade full
Of gravel.putting my pictures on photobucket,
Easier to post from my phone. My pc is on its last leg and im not
Fixing it.

Havent forgotten. Just that time of year when i get pulled in eleven different directions. Was looking at it. Trying to come up with a need to hook it up and use it. Have a low spot on driveway that needs a touch up.

Did you mount to the axle with brackets similar to this pic of an OEM set up for a FEL

its suspended below rear axle, and carries out back to the 3 point. When i raise/lower bracket needs to move forward and back to go with arc of 3 point. Raise blade-ballast on back will raise blade with gravity.

The more weight the faster the three point goes down, blade raises.
Will try tomorrow, i need to move it before snow comes.

Not a lot of height when blade lifted, but wanted to keep it short. Cant angle as it will turn tractor or push blade to one side. Will however, lift wheels off ground.

Keep in mind, the i beam is kind of twisty and flexy so when pushing snow it follows the existing grade.

I built it for one time use, to deal with a couple dirt piles in my back yard. It worked very well for what it is. All parts from my junk pile.

Sorry to keep you waiting, colorado low is on its way and i want to be somewhat prepared.didnt need it til now.may work to push cars into shop. Have a cushion to prevent bruising bumpers.
