I am brand new to the forum and Kubota for that matter. I am looking at purchasing a B2620 with FEL. I know that it is a leftover model since the new 2601 has hit the dealership. I just want to know if I am getting a fair deal. They are asking $16,800 for B2620 with FEL off the lot delivered.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

the book on that is $17,900......
I think they are about 800 bucks on the high side......

Is the 2601 a lot more? Is it tier 4? What price are you looking at for a 2601?

Ha. That is from Messicks. They basically want $1200 more for the 2601 and I don't really think I would need any of the new features over the 2620. The $16,800 is with delivery and filled tires if that makes any difference?

I guess everyone is different, several years ago I came close to buying a 2620/2920, but HATE the quarter inching 3PH. The position control 3PH, extendable lower links and tilt steering wheel on the 2601 would be well worth the added cost to me; others, no big deal.

That is why I asked - seems Kubota is throwing in some goodies on new machines.......I too would NOT want 1/4" ing ....my 53 ford had position control......stick it where you want it and bullya....it stays.

I think however that if you are getting at 16 ish - good deal - but I would look over the 01 series one more time, Triple R brings up some great points that need to be looked at deeper, true it might be more expensive but.......good things cost a little more!:)

I grew up driving our Ford 600 and neighbors' John Deere, Case etc. all with position control and the speed of setting heights and repeatability just can't be beat. For those with little to no tractor experience or operating different systems, it is difficult to understand.

Of course if one doesn't do much with the 3PH, it matters little and one can adapt by using check chains or bumping the 3PH from time to time and "eyeballing" distances, it's just not for me and I own both types.

So if I am going to be using the tiller and possibly a rear blade. Do you think the control upgrades on the 01 would make it much nicer?
I use a tiller on both my BXs and it's no real benefit as I adjust depth pretty much with the skid shoes, on the rear blade and box scraper it makes a real difference as it allows better depth control and repeatability as well as more precise adjustments on the go.

I bought a B 2650 a year ago and love it. The only thing I would want out of my tractor would be a little more weight. A slightly larger tractor gives you more lift capacity on both the FEL and the 3 pt hitch.

I love my B2620. Surprised with the power for it's size. I was going to trade it to get the new B2601 as I do like position control and especially the left side brakes it now has, but the 2620 will still do anything you need it to do and mine is paid for, so I'd rather spend more money on more implements.

I do lots of bush road building and grading. The postion control would make it a bit quicker and easier, but you can get it done with quarter inching.
