odds are the person who took the ISIS order had little clue what that was a picture of they wanted printed. Probably said to themselves..... "damn that looks familiar but can't remember where from" Stuck the picture in the scanner and let the Cake printer do it's thing and filled the order.

Oh? Im sorry, we didnt know what it was. Bet thats as far as it goes. Ignorance is no excuse.
Just devils advocate resond to "No excuse". something to mull over next time one wants to throw that "no excuse" saying out there..... It is a nice sounding saying but.. in reality it does not hold water.

Example; If a preschool child picks up a loaded weapon left laying around.... the child definitely has an excuse (two actually) in the event the baby shoots someone. (1)child does not know or even understand the danger or potential finality of the results if it goes off (2) it was idiot adults fault who left loaded weapon in a place where little hands could get to it

So as a "theorem" ..... the "no excuse" saying just does not hold up.

A very good point, however we are not speaking of loaded firearms and babies,,, It is the corporate attitude to avoid any type of conflict with a major player that's in the news. If that person refused to print the ISIS flag on the cake wallyworld would be in deep shyt for being anti muslum , how ever if some red neck ( and I can use the term redneck cause I is one) wants the Rebel Flag and they say no,, Whats he gona do? He has no power, just one person with out the political backing or the news media ,, Just MHO you understand

The question is are we headed toward more freedom or less?

Does a campaign against the Stars and Bars add to freedom and free discussion or restrict it?

It's greatly in the way that you perceive the future. The LGBT community hails the recent SCOTUS ruling as a victory, but are they willing to pay the price that moving from a traditional cultural view of marriage to a 'consent' view will bring? Just wait, the other shoe hasn't hit the floor yet. It's the same with the flag argument.

I honestly don't care if someone is LGBT, racist, or a hate monger. That is them, it is not me. I am not offended by them and even if I was, that is their right to be like that. To offend me means that their speech has meaning, and that is the power of words. It also means that I'm not entirely comfortable with my own position in whatever area they have offended me and I need to work on my own mental understanding of the area until I'm entirely comfortable... then it's impossible to offend me.

So, really what the entire debate about is people with weak self image or understanding of an issue trying to silence others that hold opinions that don't match with their own. That's about as Anti-American as you can possibly get.

If you think about it, this is the same way every great society that has every been, since the beginning of recorded history, has followed this same path.
The Greeks the Romans the British, Egypt , and now America.
Each one was destroyed from with in by the acts of people thinking they are above the good of the rest. And each of these great civilizations began and was great due to one reason the people were for the state and what they could give and what they got in return. Remember Kennedys speech?
As more and more people figured out they could get more and more from the state and give nothing back they in turned crumbled.
And every elected official and company that bends over backwards to give these people what they want weakens this great nation just a little bit more. Serve one out of love, you serve all,
Serve one out of fear, then you serve none

Make right, wrong.
Make wrong, right.
Make lies, truth.
Make truth, lies.
Make good, bad.
Make bad, good.
Destroy the family.
Take over education.
Separate the children from their parents by getting them to turn on their parents at an early age.
Make everyone a victim.
Make assimilation "evil."
Attack virtue as "a defect" in the virtuous.
Attack religion.
Make government the new "religion."

Bingo! That is the path charted in the 20's to Communism.

Are we there yet?

Problem is, most have not a clue. No wonder the Socialist from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, is leading in the polls because no one has a damned clue what a socialist is. Can you believe it?

Less freedom. The couple in Seattle who refused to bake a cake for the homosexual union not only have been fined out of existence, they are now slapped with a gag order where they can not speak to their own defense. Goodbye freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

My senior year of high school, I went to kansas city missouri for an ffa convention with 8 other people. Our jackets clearly said we were from vermont. I got asked specifically over 30 times what part of maine I was from. Multiply that by 8 other people...... and you can pretty much guess what we were thinking  A hole lot of folks needed to learn there states :p I don't claim Bernie either

Socialism has been doing wonders for Greese, look where they are today. It's all fun and games until you run out of everyone else's money!

Vermont is one of the only "free" states left when it comes to the second amendment. It's always been a place where nobody cares what you do, which should be the norm for the country. Their problem is that they have too many yuppies moving in from the cities of NY, NJ, CT, and MA buying vacation homes and bringing their communist values with them. Surprisingly, they haven't attacked anyone's 2nd amendment right, and just approved supressors. Burlington is filled with moon bat transplants, the rest of the state is basically the south of the north. It's a really nice place to live if you don't need a job and you don't have to pay taxes. It always amazed me how their electricity rates are out of this world, the state is filled with "green energy." They have wind and two major hydro power facilities just over the border from me.

Wally world made the news again. They refused to give some kid his class ring because the school logo had a rebel flag in it. The mom had paid for the ring up front. Ring was made and delivered to the store. They even called the mama to come pick it up. Then when they showed up to get the ring, they refused to sell it to them

If it had been my ring, I'd have prolly done something stupid, Like getting them to show me the ring, then say YOINK, grab it and run out the door. Are they gonna chase me down and arrest me for taking what I paid for. Lawsuit time...:D:D

Back when checks were popular, a friend stopped by wally world to get some new tires on his car. Went wandering around the store, bought a few things in the electronics section. Wrote out a check with the pen they had on the counter. Stuck the pen in his shirt pocket out of habit, and didn't realize he did it. and then walked outside to wait for his car. Security pounced on him as soon as he left the building and he was charged with shoplifting the pen  The pen on the counter was actually from the holiday inn, and didn't even belong to the store.
