What format do I need to post a video?

I would upload it to youtube (or any offsite channel) - then copy and paste URL.....
that way if someone wants to "see" it - click and go!

OTT (actually most forums) do not host videos, you need a free YouTube or Vimeo account and then link to them as 85 wrote.

1 Upload a video to "youtube"
2 here is what your url looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob8cVIdrQ-I
3 copy this part of the URL: ob8cVIdrQ-I
4 On OTT, submit a post and place the copy of your video URL , between brackets like this: [ ]ob8cVIdrQ-I[ ]
5 IMPORTANT : type the word "youtube" in the front brackets and "/youtube" in the rear brackets
6 video should be displayed now.
