I have a new BX1870 and I'm waiting on the deck. I have the 48 inch fine cut on order but could probably change it to a 54 inch regular. I've been reading the 54 is better for closer trimming. What are your thoughts?

IMHO the only reason to not get the 54" is because there is some specific narrow space that it won't fit through.

With a wider deck, it sticks out past the wheels. Easier for trimming around stuff without scraping the tractor or wheels
