Can anyone recommend where to find tiller tines for a B36 tiller. I am rebuilding one and have enough right handed tines but am having no luck in finding the (5) left handed tines to finish the rebuild. The tine part # is 70030-00604 and they are no longer being produced. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated in getting this family heirloom back to work, thanks.

Have you called Messicks? They show the part as available with a 3-5 day order time. I know that sometimes the internet sites will still show a part and it is truly no longer available. I had an older tiller that I needed tines for and could not find them. I went to tillerblades.com. They show a detailed drawing for each of the blades they sell. The drawings show length, distance between holes, shape etc. I found blades listed for another tiller that were very close, ordered and used them. I have a B36 tiller (haven't used it much in the last couple of years) so I am very interested in what you find out. So keep posting with your results.

OK- just looked at my parts book. I had forgotten that the tines are double ended and go all the way across. So I don't think my web site link will help.
I know Kubota used the same basic tiller on their garden tractor series with a different model number. I thought I written it on my manual but I guess I didn't. Wish I could be of more help.

Messicks has a lot of items showing in-stock but you have to call to speak to someone to actually check the system. I actually found them at Maxim Manufacturing Corp. Waiting now to receive them for the rebuild. Thanks for the reply.

The item number is 390169, Left Hand, "Slasher Blade", $15.54 each. Only needed left handers since I already had the rights. I received them yesterday and they are an exact match to the Kubota Part # 70030-00604 except for one small issue. The center hole is a hair smaller than the shaft. I will machine the shaft down a 1/16" or so to get the fit. Since they are the only supplier I can find this will make future replacements a snap. I also purchased offset tine plates from them for $10 each. Reason being that I am redesigning the original tine assembly setup to be able to just bolt on the new tines as apposed to the weld situation with them now. I copied a gentlemen that was doing the same thing with his John Deere tiller at the following website. http://www.weekendfreedommachines.com/discus/messages/96042/284694.html?1204402559

Hope this helps you out, happy tilling.

Thanks for the info. I don't use my B36 very much any more. But it is nice to know where to get parts if I need them.
