fuel ststem

Sounds like a fuel pump issue. As long as the tank is over 1/2 full it's gravity feeding. Once below half full, the pump is having to pick up the slack.

Fuel pump could be weak, or if it's electric, it may have lost power do to blown fuse, corroded connection, ect...... Or could have gave up the ghost and quit working all together.

Could also be trash in the fuel tank as well.

I'm having same hesitations, but not seeming to be related to fuel level with my B7510. Was going to change fuel filter today. Never has been done at 250 hours.
Any ideas out there?

bulletman,
Sounds like fuel pump, but I would check the filter too while your at it.

Fredbussiere,
If the filter has not been changed in 250 hours I'll bet it's plugged right up!

My B7500 has a small "lift pump" mounted next to the high pressure fuel pump. If your B7510 is the same then that would be a good possibility to cause your problem..

Hmmmm ..... I'm about out of ideas!!
My B7500 has a check valve (or something) built into the fuel filter housing that stops the flow so that you can change the fuel filter without draining the fuel tank. If your B7510 has the same setup maybe that valve is not working right? I'm not sure why fuel level would have any effect on that, but something has to be keeping the fuel from getting to the filter.
