Well Back To The Drawing Board

Did a test run and

1. Could not get it to pull down more than about 14"
2. Tried a couple of small turns and the bar folded over, was fine in a straight line
and this was in soft almost garden soil

I wanted the bar to be adjustable, so far only put one bolt hole,
but now I think... No adjustment and beef it up

Not giving up ! :D

I bought this sub soiler from tractor supply when it was on sale and I had a 20% off coupon.

Rent A DitchWitch and lay sch 40 or 80. I have direct bury to a barn that went out this winter. Since it's popping breakers I can't find it with a locator. It's getting replaced once it dries out here with pipe and pulled wire.

Google "finding broken wire with AM radio". You'll find some video showing how they did it.

The furtherdown it goes the more you need to increase angle? Unless you are hitting a hard clay that wont cut. Maybe some weight will help.

You need to shorten your top link, to get it to dig deeper. ;)

Be careful with this one. I bent it in the first 15 min of use on the back of an MX5100 a few summers ago. Took it back to TSC for a refund. Bought a Fred Cain. Built real tough. No problems now.

I bought a subsoiler and used a piece of 3" galvanized pipe with a 90 degree sweep at the bottom. This feeder tube was attached to the subsoiler with welded and bolted 1/2"
strapping.
I do several runs along the route to loosen up the ground then pull the wire through feeding down the tube.
Used this to bury 500' of pex and 150' of wire.
I have photos but can not post them ( need to learn how on this site)
