I am looking to add 2 inch rear wheel spacers to my L3901 tractor and want feed back as which would be better? Aluminum or steel? Thanks for any input.

If the mating parts are steel (wheel and axle hub) it might be best to stay with steel to keep galvanic corrosion form occurring.

Whatever is cheaper .....

on ebay there are those that make very inexpensive spacers....
.
I have a set of bro-tek spacers .......and they are damn nice, but rather expensive ....

if you can get the bolt pattern correct and the hub center....it will be a lot cheaper;)

I have an L3560HSTC and use it on a lot of hills. Needless to say I have had some tipping incidents. I have been looking for spacers as well and I am thinking of 3" Bora spacers. Any thoughts or comments?

Thanks to everyone for their input. I am worried about stability and have had the wheels come off of the ground while working. I ordered a single bottom plow and in the user manual it wants the rear tires to be the same distance from the tractor center line as the front tires for proper plowing. The right side wheels will be down in the furrow while making the next pass. I am running R4 tires filled with liquid. 2 inches will bring the inside rubber the same distance from the center line as the front tires. 3 inches would be a bonus but at what point do you start to stress the wheel bearings with the extensions?

I could always put a round fence post into the loader bracket to act as an outrigger to catch the tractor before it goes over. I would have to have one on the other side to balance the weight and catch the tractor when I push it back up right.

Glad my wheels are adjustable to 5 different track widths on my M's. No spacers needed.
