WTB Kubota D650-A or D750-A complete engine for B6100

Hello all,

I have a Kubota B6100 tractor that is missing the engine. I bought it as a project tractor minus the engine and would like to get it back to working condition.

I am looking for either a D650-A or a D750-A that is complete. The D650-A was used in the B6100 and the D750-A was used in the B7100. I believe either will fit. If I am wrong, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I'm also open to a good core engine.

Any chance someone has a decent one for sale?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

I replaced mine on a b-7100 this summer with almost new D-850.Went to Deer Lodge,Tn an picked it up.They have several almost new small engines.Don't the name of the people but they were nice and very honest. You could Google Kubota Engines in Deer Lodge Tn an find them. They will ship to you.My engine run good & had plenty oy power, but the oil pressure light coming on at idle needed overhauling. You can buy one as cheap as redoing it.All the engines they have are almost new.I paid 1295.00 Don' know if you have priced parts but they are high for thse little buggers.

Fridayrog,

Thanks for the lead! I'll give them a call.

It's very good to know that the D850 fit. Was it an exact fit or did you have to jury-rig cooling hoses, hydraulic lines, etc?

I'd appreciate it if you would share the hoops you had to jump through to make it work.

Also, any chance that your old engine is still around and you'd consider selling it?

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Steve

Would that have been Amish arron by chance? They do engines. There is also a "Big" service Ctr called diesel power LLC in Nashville that's pretty much big time on R&R on everything from fuel systems to complete engines. Their about everyone's authorized service Ctr in tenn.

Mine was an exact fit.Think they said engine wes for 8200? They had some more 850 for other apps, they had water pumps an altenators. They would'nt be much trouble to changeover.Let me backup a bit,Had to change the fan blades they were a little longer, could have cut them off 1/2 " an it would have worked fine. Also had to change oil pan.I could have modified it.Yes i have my old engine, had not thought about gitting rid of it.But beleive me you would be better off to get in contact with these people.Parts for these little tractors must be gold plated according to the price.

I just rebuilt my D750 doing all the work myself except for machine work.Ended up with 1000.00 in it. Don't price engine or transmission parts if you have a heart condition. Finished the transmission this week, 4 gears,2 bearings, 3 seals, and 2 gaskets cost 650.00. This complete restoration is going to cost around 2200.00 by the time its finished. If you can buy a GOOD enging that don't need a rebuild then you will come out ok but if you have to pay retail salvage price then rebuild it you can have a small fortune tied up in just the engine. Good luck with your project. These little machines are tough and fun to work with once you get them back in good shape.

I've got an almost new, if not new, d850 I could part with. I bought it from an estate as a backup for my b8200. The family said It was new. It is crated and doesn't appear to have been mounted. Let me know if you.re still looking...

HD,

I guess I should have closed this thread as I forgot it was still open.

I ended up buying the engine in the crate from Mondaymorn. He's a great guy!

Sorry for the bad news!

Kind regards,

Steve
