Hi. I would like to add side mirrors to my BX2380 with cab. Has anyone done this and what did they do? I was thinking of using Golf cart mirrors and attaching them with earth magnets but am not sure how that would be. Any ideas?

I recall a forum member posting about his mirror installation using aviation grade epoxy glue on studs. Not Home Depot stuff but military.....

I found his youtube video. Well worth watching. No drilling, studs stuck right over nice orange paint.

Watch this hammer test trying to break the bond.

Good luck putting adhesive on top of paint...your bond is only as good as the paint prep underneath.

Good quality rivet nuts are used by OEMs. The crimping tool is expensive.

Another good option is a Nelson Stud.

Many cabs are considered part of the ROPS so drilling and welding is frowned upon. Also voids you warranty.

My M cabs have factory welded on lugs that mount the swing away mirrors.

What I would do and is a lot cheaper is get a suction cup mount rearview mirror and stick it to your windshield inside your cab.

10 bucks cures your issue. No goobering up the cab frame which is your ROPS too.

You don’t say what cab you have but if it’s a Curtis cab then they sell mirrors for it. They are not cheap though. They can be mounted either on the door or the upright that the door closes on so you can use them when you take the doors off. The part number is 9PM5.
