Hi~Vic~! I'm your big fan now~ :D
I've watched all your videos, Well~ almost. and I really, really thanking you.
and all those members of kind post too. and big thanks to Keith that welcoming me~ ;)

Any how, I just bought B7510DT as used. 21Hp diesel, 440 hours, 4' Loader,
4' snow blower, 6' finish mower, 6' blade and so on.
Now I'm looking into 5' snow blower. ;)

but I found a bit of problem on Clutch. (Gear grinding)

Here is the list what I've found so far. You might be interested in too. :D

When I depress the clutch and try to engage the gear, makes gear grinding
noise and engages it. as long as keep the clutch pedal down, I could keep
changing gears without the problem. but once let the clutch go and depress
again to engage the gear it starts again.

So I thought clutch pedal adjustment would fix it. also I found 2 inch free
play. so I changed it to 1 inch. and 9 mm gab as well as. but still same.
so I have increased gab to about 2 cm or so and tried but still same.

At this point, I have suspicion of Hydraulic transmission oil.
'cause ex-owner took it to some mechanic and changed oils but he doesn't know what kind of oil he has put it in. and that transmission oil looks so clean. I could be wrong but guessing that mechanic put the thick oil instead
of TDH or UDT oil. that is why it acting like that...?! ;)

and I changed engine oil myself with 15W40 for now but I'm going to change it to 10W30 before winter. Thanks to this Forum.
and I found engine oil was looked like "TAR"... Ex-owner said he has changed it not to long ago........ ;( What do you think?
and Is it true? that diesel engine oil tends to getting darker quick?

So... I'm going to change all the fluids, but I have question.

On B7510DT, manual says two drain plugs for hydraulic transmission oil.
but if I drain them all, those thick oils stuck in the loader cylinders and hoses will not be drained, I think... ;(

Is there any tip for draining all those thick oils from cylinders and hoses?
Of course, without breaking my wallet. ;)

and is my guess correct for clutch (gear grinding) problem? or am I in deep trouble with clutch~~~???

and as Vic told us he has been using Walmart's TDH oil, Is it Okay to use on B7510DT too? One of dealer in my area kind of scaring me to using TDH oil. ;(
but according to Vic, his tractor was running fine with TDH oil. and another friend of mine has been using Shell's hydraulic oil since brand new for 8 years. told me $35 or so. and I bought TDH oil for $36 to change hydraulic oil and front axle after I've read Vic post........ ;)

So... Vic, what do you think? as your word it is good to use with TDH oil. but
right below of your post, "Ob1kubota" post all that fancy list and tempting me into it. ;) BUT, I still do BELIEVE you 100%.
So, TDH oil will not damaging the gears and cylinders and so on, Right?

and Where are you located at? Pencylvania? or Canada?

Thank you for your help in advance.
Thank you all.

Thank you Vic.

I was going to hide inside of house today. 'cause too hot outside...:D but I'll try the clutch test in about an hour later.

but meanwhile, that thick oil wouldn't make gear grind first and engage it?
Once engage into gear with a little bit of gear grinding and as long as I keep holding clutch down, I could keep changing gears in and out without any
gear grinding.

Any how, I can't change the TDH oil yet. 'cause, I couldn't buy the hydraulic
oil filter yet. I went to Kubota dealer yesterday (Saturday). but I missed them by 5 minutes.

and I guess I will stick with TDH oil and change them every 200 hours or so.
Since it is chearper than SUDT, change more often to keep it clean.:D

So, all I can do today is your "Clutch testing" method.
I'll post the result here as soon as I test it.

I thought "Ob1kubota" knew soooo much stuff. Thank you all.

So, Canada where? I'm in Durham Ontario. Close to Owen Sound area.

Thank you again.

Joe.

Okay, I just did Clutch test and Engine stalls immediately on 3rd gear and break on it at Idle.

And I increased throtle to about 1700 rpm and 3rd gear forward and break
on it... it kind of jerked and engine stalled again.

so, I guess clutch is good... I hope..., Is it??? :D

Meanwhile, Wouldn't that thick oil make gear grind first and engage it?
Once engage into gear with a little bit of gear grinding and as long as I keep holding clutch down, I could keep changing gears in and out without any
gear grinding.

Or should I wait till engine warms up. All this happening was right after start
engine. and I never had running engine long enough to warms up...

and one of your video says grease nipples on release bearing in clutch
unit. Where can I find that on B7510DT?
I looked into part manual and all those clutch section... and couldn't find
any where. and crawling under the tractor to look for that grease nipple
or any plate to access or something but I failed.

Could you help?

Joe.
