My M9000,s/n 10692 with 2280hrs has the oil light coming on and then engine dies. This is what I have done so far:
Removed oil pressure relief valve and spring made sure it wasnt sticking, lightly sanded outside of valve. Thought this fixed it as we drove it approx 2 miles and light stayed off.
Replaced oil filter with one that has anti drain back valve so filter holds oil, doesnt have to fill each startup.
Replace oil pressure spring, no change in pressure. Even after shimming with 2 washers.
Hooked up mechanical oil gauge. 18-20lbs when started, same if reved to 1800rpms gauge was hooked up when any changes tried.
Also replaced oil pressure sending unit.
Increased idle from approx 650rpm to 900. Kept light off, but if oil pump is bad I dont want to drive it causing more damage.
I change the oil every 100-130 hours.
Also, I made a adapter out of an old prssure gauge sending unit and a #4 adapter, brazing the 2 together.
Does this sound like oil pump bolts backing out??

Sounds like you need to change the oil pump. ;)
