Just acquired a new to me B1700. Oil leaking from center on front axel. Do not have any manuals for it & cannot find parts list on Kubota.com. Can someone tell me how & where the drive shaft separates from the axel housing?
OK, found the parts list on Kubota.com. I was using the model # as found on the hood decals. It's not really a B1400 HST... It's a B1400HD.

So, It looks like tube 130 must be moved toward rear to access pin 230. Hope I can figure out how to make that happen. Thanks, Wolfman!

My oil leak has returned. Same as before. I can see that it is leaking past the o-rings on the axel pivot pins/shafts. I am wondering if the axel housing should have a vent on it to equalize internal pressure. I cannot find one. Service manual shows one (I think) next to the fill/dip stick. Can anyone shed some light on this please. I have it apart now & do not see any problem. Thinking I should just put back together & vent it somehow to see if that will stop the leak. Comments please.

If it doesn't have the bi-speed turn option it won't have a separate vent, check the gauge (dip stick) very carefully as some of them have a vent incorporated into them. ;)
