I understand, I think, a 4' is best 5' pushing it. (weeds and grass, no small trees, etc,) I have a BX 2670. Anyone using a 5' brush hog on a 2670 or close size?

I think the manual recommends 42. I have a 48 and wouldn't want any more, both for total weight, and weight distance to the rear. Lifting, backing, and maneuvering is awkward.
If I had flat, open land and could spend almost all the time with the mower down, a 60 might work for me. But then I would probably put another wheel and a tongue on it.

I just picked up a 4' Woods RC4 for my BX25, turns it no problem. I don't think you would have an issue with the 5', but as above I also think it would be too heavy for your tractor. The 4' really is a good fit for our BX's.

I use a Land Pride RCR1548 on my BXs and at 425 pounds, I need weights or a FEL when using it on anything but flat land, no way I would try a 5'. Woods, LP and King Kutter make units especially aimed at the SCUT for while they are CAT1 3PH, the geometry is different than on bigger machines with CAT 1.
