I am curious as to why the L4701 does not get much mention.
You hear about the 3900 series, but not the 4700 series.
I hope I didn't buy a "pig in a poke"!

Check your numbers : :) l4701, or 4710? The 4701 is a fairly new model.

I pretty sure you just made a typo when you did the title and put L4710hst, as kubota never made a L4710, I changed it. ;)

Note: It's an 01 series, not 3900 or 4700 series.
the 39 and the 47 is the model class and HP class.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the L4701, it's just the 01 series is geared more for the economically minded users.
So when it gets to the bigger HP models people tend to switch over to Grand L (60 series) tractors like the L4760, little more money and a lot more tractor. ;)

That's because, when you move to the mid 40's on the horsepower your venturing into landscaper/orchard territory. Very few property owners get into that horsepower range.

When I asked about the L4701 at the dealer they said they don't usually keep them on hand and would usually steer people toward the MX4800 or MX5200 instead. Just to much overlap and they thought the MX4800 was a better value.
