T2380 mower

I am trying to install a new mower belt but I cannot create enough slack to get the belt around the last pulley! Am I missing something obvious? Any hints/tips or tricks would be appreciated.

Don't know that mower but you might want to look and see the idler pulley and spring are where you are having trouble,,,,, take the spring off the post and relax the pulley, lace everything up and then pull the spring back in place,,,,,,,,,,,,,, though that in its self can be a real PIA

Like Skeets said I'm sure it has a idler pulley that keeps the belt tight. I have hooked a ratchet strap to them before instead of taking the spring loose. Sometimes that won't work though due to lack of space.
