Hello, I have a Kubota BX 2660 with 1,250 hours on it and I have recently noticed that in 4 wheel drive there is a binding sensation, where if im in 2 wheel drive I will go faster in a straight line while in 4 wheel drive i am now going a tiny bit slower and I can feel that the 4 wheel drive is baking the transmission and the engine run harder because it feels like it is binding. Does Anyone know what might be causing this? before this started happening, it would go the same speed without binding, unless I was turning a corner, or something, and then it would slow down because I'm in 4 wheel drive. Thanks,
Alex Hutton.

Sounds like you would want to check out the front axle.

Check the fluid level.
Lift the wheels of the ground and see if they move freely.

Front drive shaft u-joints binding.

How would you fix the u joint, do you mean to grease the ujoint???

Or what should I be looking out for trouble, if any?
Thanks,
Alex Hutton.

Start with the simple things, check the tire pressure all around. Next jack it up like recommended above and rotate the wheels, if anything is binding you should be able to identify where the problem is located. I don't believe there are any grease fittings on the BX drive train. I haven't seen any and there are none listed in the operators manual for routine maintenance.
