Help me out please. While at the scrapyard today I spotted kubota orange in a pile waiting for the baler. I pulled out and set aside an almost new looking kubota brand I think QA adapter. It looked about the right size for my old LA481 loader with the pin on bucket. I took some measurements, hurried home and I'll be darned it's an exact fit! Hurried back and rescued it. I've been wanting to convert mine but the cost...
So my question is
How can I tell if it is a universal skid steer type or am I right in thinking kubota has their own proprietary type? It has the 2 throw levers (kubota grey) and pins and the side plates have the angled cleats at the top.
I can't believe my luck today!

Most likely it's an SSQA, and I would bet the reason it was scraped was it is bent, but that's not a good reason to scrap them as they are easily straitened out.
Lay it on a flat surface and see if both the top and bottom of the pads lay square on the ground, if they do not they it's bent, and will need to be tweaked.

Just came back from a quick run over to the neighbor's place to compare to his and it is indeed a universal skid steer type. No twists or bends and the only marks on it appear to be cosmetic from the scrap yard handling. Lays perfectly flat. No wear marks on the pin slants or pivot pins or cylinder pins. The paint isn't even worn on the top cleats or flats!
The price was right. The usual Saturday currency is beer and venison sausage which I have happily provided and will bump with a bonus next visit.

You scored big time. Now you have a reason to buy some more attachments.

Wow, how fortunate! I was going to upgrade my L3410 fel to ssqa, but ended up getting a new tractor. Having the ssqa is a real plus for switching between bucket, plow, and pallet forks.

The Greek god of salvage, "Ironoxideus" smiled upon me yesterday.
I have to say, this is not typical for me. Funny how a flash of kubota orange in a pile of scrap metal can catch the eye.

Nice! Just the plates with the pin linkage is about $200 each.

Doesn't it make you wonder how such things get thrown in a recycle bin, new, no dents or dings, and painted?
