Here is some interesting information on the subject...

I'd first pick out a mower that has a "reasonable" expectation that it will work for you and then contact its manufacturer and see if they agree.

By the way, what does your Owners Manual suggest? It will usually state the width and weight of different types of mowers (as well as other equipment) that work best for your particular tractor.

Just a dumb question, what do you want a disk mower for?

The biggest problem you are going to find with a tractor your size, is finding a small enough mower you can get started. Disc mowers require the most power getting them started turning.

Limited hay production.(Small fields). I see them small enough to run on a bx2200. I would think that I have enough hp at 38.5 and pto of 31
I don't think I've seen a disk mower that small?

If you're wanting to cut hay...I've got an Enorossi B-150. It's a sickle bar mower, double action with hyd. lift cylinder in excellent condition. Can use as small as 12HP (I think). It will mow 90 deg. up and 75 deg down, so you can mow your pond dam or your hedges!! Get all parts at Messicks

I'll sell it for $1800. Here's one just like it on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/i/122958074907?chn=ps

Disc mowers that I've owned didn't require a lot of HP to start turning but faster speed cutting thick grass requires HP. I've owned both types(gear bed & shaft drive) of disc cutters.

The prices of the miniature implements is down right stupid expensive.

Heck with those prices might as well buy a bigger tractor and more land! ;)

I just laugh at that small stuff when I try to imagine how long it would take to mow my neighbors little 3.5 acre field with something have the size of my lawn mower.

Not much difference in the price of small stuff as it is to go full size. Factor the time it would take to cut, rake and bale a field and it probably cost more.

That always seemed unfair a woman's shoe size 5 cost about the same as a mans 13. Same with gloves, shirts, jeans...just about everything.
