Hi all, looking for some advice on keeping the rubber seal that fits on the lower hood on my B2650 from falling off when I open it. Was not sure if I should glue it on and what type of glue to use. Anybody else have this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks

I've use 3M contact adhesive to seal similar weatherstrips on various tractors. It's a good quality weatherstrip adhesive.

I had the same problem with mine when new. I used weather strip adhesive and glued mine on. Been that way 3 yrs and has stayed perfect. Has stayed secure and no more problem!!

tempforce, be absolutely positive the surface you're going to spray is clean and dry. Probably a spritz with brake cleaner would do fine to clean.

used brake clean, when i re-installed. pinched the seal closed over the metal. set it in place to harden overnite. it's the operator's fault, i use the edge to lift by after i get the hood up part way. as i have a brush guard than makes it a challenge to lift the hood... still a poor design...
