im too cheap to spend money on something I can fab or modify my self for a third of the $$$$ so here is a cut down Amazon thumb, DOM tube from a damaged crane boom lacing and some 11018 rods made on the bumper of the truck for less than $150

Looks great. Maybe add an adjustable support tube so you can fold the thumb flat against the dipper to get it out of your way when digging. That should be an easy job with your fab skills.

still working the hydraulic part out in my head, 3rd function on the loader is the priority at the moment, should have the laser cut parts for a grapple back next week, then its onto fab and plumbing.... if this all works out well i might figure out how to add a 7th section to the BH control valve for a hydro thumb.

ive been playing with some ideas, at the moment im either digging stumps or stacking brush, but not at the same time, its just as easy to take the entire thumb off with 2 pins then fold it out the way, when time allows i will play with it some more, now its crunch time to get as much property cleaned up and usable so I can fish and ride this summer rather than sweat my butt of in the heat.

Nothing too complicated. I have a box blade too...and wanted a rear remote set up for the thumb and box. Went to the dealer, looked at the set up on a few tractors...and did it myself for about 1k with the cylinders. Once the rear remote set up was in place, plumbed the lines down the side of the BH. I tinkered with how best the run the hydraulics...this works great, never tangled or hit them and solved my problem.
