Having used the manual rotator and no chute control last year I decided motorisation was required.
Mounting a window lift motor for rotation and a 4-inch actuator for the chute I looked at how I was going to control these and the location.
As everyone is well aware space is at a premium so along with ergonomics I decided a one position control was best for me. Having used the dash location for light switches and not wanting to have to fumble with gloves on I looked for alternative positions. The obvious one was the hydraulic control stalk.
I have connected the joystick via 4 switching relays and used a section of ABS pipe as the mount.
Position and operator comfort work well.
