I have just acquired a B2771 blower and a B3044 subframe, now looking for installation manuals. It's to go on a B1700 tractor

The information on Messicks lead me to believe the B2771 blower can be front or rear mounted.
If front mounted and driven by a mid pto, there is a speed reduction chain box to lower the fan speed to 540 rpm. In a rear 3 pt hitch installation, the chain box is removed.

Many Kubota dealers (mine included) do not have any literature for the blowers which are painted orange for Kubota and Green for John Deere.
Unless the frame kit you have is specifically for your tractor, mounting the blower on the 3 pt hitch would be easier by comparison.
