RCW, I'd leave the snowblower on and purchase another tractor for dirt work! Saves a lot of grief.:D
I do have a Minneapolis Moline ZAU in the pipeline, but it's not here yet. It has a nice plow attachment for snow this time of year!

Waiting for winter to get done, then it'll get here! Have trucking all lined up!

Don't do it, I took mine off 3 weeks ago to do some work with my loader. Friday I spent a hour in the snow and mud getting the blower back on when we got 14 inches. My mom is blaming me for the snow with Murphy's law and all. Oh and taking the loader out ended in me making a GIANT mudhole, I had more trouble with traction in the mud under the snow than the snow it'self, snow has a bottom...

We're looking at highs of 13F with big winds tomorrow, and 30 Sunday.

Not good temps to take things apart.

Maybe next weekend.;)

Really gets to the point when the tractor changes seasons anyway.

Counting bags of wood pellets as well, so I guess spring is getting close.

Well, I'm in a predicament. Sold the L3400 a few weeks back including the 60" Buhler snowblower. Picked up new L47TLB last week. Decided to gamble and wait to buy 72"snowblower this spring/summer. Oh well. Forecast calling to 4-6 inches Sat night and another 12 Sunday night. I'll manage with loader bucket as we've had lots of rain, then sunny days that melted this winters 6 feet away.

Well, I succumbed to the pressure/advice here and did not take the blower off.;)

Of course, to friggin' cold and wet here to do any dirt work anyway....:(

Did put the box blade on - just gettin' ready. Have it on with the blower often anyway. :D

Now looks like HIGHS in the teens this weekend, with a possible nor'easter Tuesday next week. :(

The snowblower is ready.....

RCW... The snow gods have a membership on here, and just the posted thought that you wanting to take off your snow blower has angered them and they are now pelting me with snow again!

I'd love some more snow. Any of the snow we had this year, it's been to wet to blow. Had to use the FEL.

Lows to 9 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow for us Cheese Heads in Wisconsin.
Guess where it's headed... I've plowed snow for 40 years and we always plow in March. April it's 50%. Only once in May.

Seems like someone from New Hampshire WISHED for snow the other day...if they're right about the nor'easter, well, better be careful what you wish for you might get it:eek::eek:

We had 60 mph wind yesterday, picked up 2 bucket loads and 3 gator loads of branches off the driveway, no whole trees though :) temperature dropping to 10oF. All the buds that came out are not going to like it. Not sure what to wish for here...spring maybe.

I agree with you guys. This has been some seriously weird weather! We're in MN and don't have any snow at all! Hell, we had a thunderstorm a few days ago... ended up hailing and doing some serious damage to my house. Crazy this time of year! Well hey for any BX'ers out there... it may be a bit late in the season (but I kinda feel like we have at least 1 or 2 more sneeky snowstorms yet to come)... we want to offer an END OF SEASON DEAL! We have 2 BX snowblades left... and are offering 10% off if you'd still like to purchase for this season. Contact Tony at tony@bxattachments.com with questions and to order.

I think the forecasting like 7 days out has really gotten much much better in the last couple years. At least here in the northeast. It was Tuesday this week(3/7) and the forecast was for a nor'easter of Wednesday next week, 12"+, its the couple of 18"-24" storms we've had this winter that really stink. It just takes so long to clean up and get back to working.
Anyone make maple syrup here ? Back in January one friend made 244 gallons and the sap didn't run again for three weeks, then its been off and on only running a couple days and cold weather arrives and shuts it off. There hasn't been 20* nights and 50* days for good sap flow at all. it'll be 8* nights and 65* day and 10* nights. Just to cold to unfreeze the trees.

Trust me, heard a lot of that kind of stuff from my buddies!;)

However, they used MANY bad words!!:eek:

Anyone make maple syrup here ?
I didn't tap this year - only do 20-30 taps.

But a buddy (~1,000 taps) said he has gathered almost as much sap so far as last couple seasons.

But, he said its running low in sugar - ~50:1, so syrup output is down. Couple years ago, he was close to 30:1.

With our forecast, should be some more runs in store.....

Has him looking into reverse osmosis for the future.

Looks like we have 12-18 inches coming midweek. Glad my machine is still ready.

Yeah, never took mine off so ready to go.

Yep, my fault yall. I took it off and stored it for summer weeks ago. I put it back on tonight. Only took 20 minutes so, no big deal.

18" on the ground and snowing hard. Calling for 24-30" now.
So yes, it is too early to take the snow blower off.
Who the hell asked that question?[emoji35]
