I am going to post the rest of the project, but have been working for my Kubota dealer for the last 8 weeks delivering tractors, mowers and whatever so no time. Plus still have to figure out how to get pics right side up with my new computer. Will follow up.

Well as I said, I was going to finish posting this project. I have still been working for my Kubota dealer full time, which I never thought would last this long, so I havent had time to get anything else done, like the old days when I used to be retired. We are still really busy at the dealership, so they are keeping me busy. Also, I spent 2 hrs trying to be able to post my pics with this new computer so that they are right side up, with no luck. I am an above average tech guy, but this one has really got me stumped. No problem with the old computer, but not so on the new one. So I am going to post any way so I can finish up this post.

The other problem that this brush hog had, was you can not pull the blades of to sharpen them, with out pulling the stump jumper and blades all together. So I decided to cut a hole in the top to be able to access the nuts to get the blades off. I then made a cover out of the piece I cut out, and a new cover I cut out, drilled holes in the old piece to be able to weld to the new piece. I cant take credit for that idea, saw it on here somewhere, and worked really well. Now you can take the blades off for sharpening no problem.

I also had to repair the front edge of the bottom edge of the runners. Cut out some 1/8" hammered and welded solid to repair them.

For assembly, I used all new grade 5 or 8 bolts. I also like to finish my projects up with new factory decals to make them look new. I called King Kutter to order a set. The guy said he would send a set right out. Expecting a pretty healthy price for the set, I asked how much, and there was no charge. I was shocked at that from a company. Pretty good deal. You dont see that very often from companies today.

Nice work. How do you have the time and discipline to stop to take pictures while you're in the middle of a project?
