I am looking at 3-point augers and was about to buy one. Then I noticed, looking at pictures, they don't look very quick hitch compatible. Never thought about it as everything I have works great with my quick hitch and I swap stuff often. Just trying to confir, my suspicion before I buy one. I am sure the answer is in the archives but my combination of key words produced nothing of use.

No I don't think there is a post hole auger that is quick hitch compatible. ;)

The most common post hole diggers do not support the quick hitch, since they connect where the top link is.

Post hole augers need about 5 feet of vertical motion at the auger end. Far more than a 3 point hitch implement.

Some have converted then to three point hitch, but it needs a hydraulic top link to work.

I know for sure that the County Line post hole digger from TSC does not work with a quick hitch. Every time I use my neighbor's post hole digger I have to remove my quick hitch.

I have a Land Pride PD 10 post hole digger and use it with the Pat's lower arm quick attach extensions. It works well but I may be giving up a few inches of depth in digging holes due to the longer arms.

OTOH it sure makes hooking up that darn PHD easier. I'm not young anymore, I strap the PHD to a 6 inch diameter post I planted just for storing and keeping the darn thing from falling over and hurting me when I hook it up.

Be careful, them things are mean, but they sure are better than the 2 arm units.
