When I purchased my L3400F the rear tires were filled with a fluid. I have no idea which fluid... Drained some out and it is light brown in color with zero odor...any one give me an educated guess?
Light brown to clearish might be some rust. If you bought the tractor used from a private owner maybe they filled the tires them self and who knows what could be in there.
Dipped some clean welding rod in the liquid for 4 hours then allowed to air dry...coating of rust. I am pretty sure it is calcium chloride. Found a Goodyear site that says rims won't rust providing the tires are filled above the rime level which mine are. In order for something to rust there has to be oxygen present... Anyhow the stuff may have been in there for 8 years so I will just let it ride knowing someday I might need some rims.
