Gray Marker "00"... "01"... "02" series ......what are the differences?
I am new to Kubota tractors and now the proud owner of an L 1801DT. I was specifically interested in a higher clearance tractor with an extreme low creeper gear and so discovered these "01" series with a hi low creeper in addition to the hi low range commonly found in older Kubota tractors.
As I was searching for an "01" model I discovered this "02" series and wondered if the "02" was a later version of the "01" series. The reason being that according to Tractordata.com the "02" series also has 16 speeds forward and 4 speeds in reverse.
Then I just read this Orange Tractor thread and now know that the "02" series is a Daedong made in Korea tractor with a Kubota engine. So was wondering about the Daedong tranny..... was it similar to the "01" Kubota series ? You can also come up with 16 forward and 4 reverse speeds using two 4 speed trannys in tandem.

And also in my search for creepr tractors I discovered the "00" series which do not have creeper but interestingly all have 3 cylinder engines and 3 speed trannys with hi low. Seems the "00" series is similar to the B 7100 tractor being 3 cylinder with six speed tranny..... but has sheet metal style similar to DaeDong "02" series !!!
So is "00" series a Daedong tractor with Kubota engine or ??????
