Afret,
Those chains would be a lot better if they had the cross links on them, keeps the chains from falling in between the lugs. ;)

Yup, it would be better with them but I used the same type 2 link ladders on my 3901 last year and they worked fine even on the sheet ice the roads and driveways turned into. Even when they go between the lugs, the chain links stick out past the lugs. I actually bought a set of duo/ladder combo chains but they felt so lumpy driving around I switched to the 2 link ladders.

If it gets really icy and the tractor slips around, I got a set of truck cable chains for the front tires I could put on and/or switch back to the duo/ladder chains.

Did the 400 hour service on my B2920 yesterday. Then I put on the tire chains to be ready for the snow predicted late this weekend.

I put the blower on my tractor. I thought I was clever with how I put wheels on it for summer. Could easily move it around like a... I don't know, a wheel barrow out something. Anyway, I had a bear of a time getting them off. So they're going to get a redesign before going back on in the spring.
Also... In the process of converting my crank turn chute into electric, with a small winch, I seem to have turned it into a get-off-the-tractor-and-manually-turn-it chute. I don't get it. Worked in the spring when I put it on. I think it may have blown the relay that changes the polarity. But at least it's usable, so I suppose I should be thankful to have that much.

Went out an gave Betty (L3450) a pat on the hood and told her to brace for the cold and snow, 16 deg and snowing a little.
Tractors on snow blade duty and kitty (743 bobcat) is on snow blower duty this year! :D

A few weeks ago got a set of Expanded forks for the little beast (bx25d) first time out lost one of the lock bars so welded triangle brackets to bucket. By welding only triangles can still remove main brackets if needed.

Just put the front blower on my B7200 so I am ready for the snow this winter, Just recently replaced the rear universal for the front axle drive shaft as well as rebuild the front left gear assembly. Have been working it pretty hard this last summer having dug a septic as well as move about 200 tons of earth to the other end of a 5 acre field and fill low areas. It is nice to finally have the ground level and seeded after looking at mounds of earth for the past couple of years from a previous foundation excavation.

We are getting lots of snow here in Auburn Hills Mi.
1st large one of the season. Still coming down.
I used the ol Kubota to plow our drive and the neighbors.
Started really well with the new battery and 60 seconds of Pre Heat.
I hand shoveled a great many times and used the snowblower also.
Have a nice winter.
The other day I attached a small buddy to my rear light.
Just a teddy bear for company. Does not say much just smiles...

Put out new bale of hay and new bale feeder. Who says you can't move round bales with a B2650. As I got off tractor I had to take pic of suset in background. Then froze fingers putting bale feeder together.

Blew snow from four laneways with the B7510. Had about 10" of nice powder. Now for the embarrassing admission that the cab was so toasty and warm that I had to take off my coat... Truly NoJacketRequired!

Yeah, I'm liking this tractor/cab/front mount blower A LOT!

Well I just bought my first Kubota last week a L3830 with the GST and FEL. I had the dealer install a WR Long Kit for a front 4n1 Bucket that I found on EBay for a grand, Today I discovered that one of my front tires was foam filled and the other was not . I don't like foam too heavy . so today I ordered two new 12 ply tires and cut the foam tire off the wheel . not really productive fun.

For the guys fretting about R-4 tires and chains, just keep 'Em tight and they'll be fine. Easier on little ones like mine, but same for the bigger ones too!

12 inches snow BX did good with Tera grip chains on rear wheels . Though on cement would slip. But my drive is limestone so all good. Rope lights worked great at 4am Image1481619833.891660.jpg

FYI before first time plowed read a lot of shoes verse no shoes on blade. I vote shoes helped keep rock throwing down.

Finally got around to replacing the 12" long center link mount, (apparently only used for the Grey Market tiller).
Thanks NIW for your reasoning behind why to replace it :)

So I can mount my new (used) auger,
had some metal lying around with the proper size holes for the pin in them already.

Cut to size and drilled the mounting holes
(I did add the two center holes to make six total, after I did the photos) and did a test fit.

Mounted them up.....
(for now they are black, not mixing up Kubota Blue just for those two brackets) :p

.....and did a test fit of the auger, need to make an A-Frame (was missing when I purchased it)
and of course it needs to be cleaned and painted Orange :D

Got a 1" thick by 10" wide rubber strip for my front snow blade. Bolted it on to see if it would help cut down on digging into the gravel driveway.

Put the loader on float and gave it a go. Worked pretty well. It left a thin layer of snow over the gravel and didn't dig in as the rubber edge folded back and just slid over the snow and gravel. You could probably see the gravel in the snow on the edge of the driveway that the steel edge had dug out in the last snowfall.

Learned a 200 watt magnetic heater and a battery charger is enough to fire up kubota in minus 20 degrees. Moved a couple pallets of auto parts.
