Led Light Bar Setup! Over $3,000 Retail Worth Of LED Lighting On My Kubota L2501

Hello again.
I wanted to show my LED light setup on my Kubota L2501.
I installed High Quality Lazer Star led lights worth over $3,000

I wanted to explain how I mounted them but I figured it would be easier to shoot a video trying to explain it.

It lights up the garage...So many of us have problems lighting our garage.

Disclaimer: I don't have a garage! So this LED type of install would be worthless to me.
I need the kind that lights up a roads, yards, fields, ditches, trees.

Would NOT be the type of investment that interests me as my LED lighting is the economy type from surplus center but the important aspect to remember is If you are happy and satisfied w/ the results, nothing else really matters.

Additionally neither my opinion or the opinions of others, matter either.

I know right... You can get a couple Led (fluorescent like) fixtures at home depot and mount them on the ceiling for way less to light up the garage!

Although it's waaaaaay more than I would ever spend on lighting, thanks for sharing. If you are happy from a cost/benefit standpoint, that's all that really matters.

I have to admit that I do not understand the difference between 'economy' LED fixtures and 'premium' LED units. I have seen amazing illumination from very affordable lights but don't know what a guy is giving up in the way of life span, reliability, water resistance and what not. Maybe you could enlighten (

) me.

But
When LEDs first became popular I shelled out $300 for a set of Rigid brand LED lights.

I’ve had them for years now and they are flawless
Love em.

But I must say that the ones that they sell on eBay these days look just about the same .... for about 50 bucks or less.

I think like anything the Chinese grab the technology and make it for cheaper.

I put the optional Amber covers on because I felt they were too bright for oncoming traffic.

They still light up the road just fine.

And that’s one of the problems with these cheap LED lights

People put them on the front of their cars and blind oncoming traffic.

Most of them are not DOT approved and are for off road use only.

But the law Doesn’t seem to care.

you can swap out the incandescent headlight bulbs with led's for a few bucks and the results are a great improvement...as long as your loader bucket isn't blocking them. made a huge difference for me.

I may be unterested in getting a set. Would you happen to have part numbers, and a link to the ones that could easily be switched out for the stock ones in a BX2370 ?

You'll have to pull your bulb to see what base it uses. It should say something like:

Life 1073 12V 23W 60 deg C (which is equivalent to an 1156, BA15S)

I replaced with JDM ASTAR - 3030-1156-14W-1-M. There should be a cross reference on their site listing the bulb type it replaces.

29 bucks each at Harbor freight everyday. Even less with a 20% off coupon.

I run 4000 lumen front facing high mount CREE LED'S on My M's (rear facing as well) but I really want to replace the dim headlight halogen bulbs that are OEM on the tractors.

least I have plenty of alternator output and battery to run them.

Roading between fields after dark, I don't like running the high mount LED's. While I can see down the road for a mile, they blind anyone oncoming in a car and that isn't kosher.

Those light bars on pickup trucks really irritate me. Most are aimed up and their owners are usually inconsiderate of other drivers.

Your set-up looks ok I guess....Depends what you were trying to accomplish, and what your goals were. Personally I think you paid way too much for the lights. Yep, they are nice, but if you whack a good tree branch, they will total out just as fast as a $20 light. LED Light Bars can be had on Amazon really cheap, and wont break your heart when you accidentally destroy one. You don't need lights that shine out a half a mile, you aren't going 60 MPH with the thing.

For $3000, I would have spent the money on a cab to stay out of the elements and add a couple extra cheap bright lights.

Thanks for the info. I just went out and pulled one of my bulbs. Looks like it says CEC 896, 12V, 37.5 watts, Korea P16. From what I see on the net, there isn,t a led equivalent. Am I right, or just not finding it ?

I think you have HID bulbs, so the 896 crosses with 881 bulb style. It would appear that you should be looking for the 881 replacement. Check the bulb dimensions before you order some. Here are a few LED examples that I believe would fit.

I would think going from HID to LEDS wouldn't gain you any light output, HID's are pretty bright?
This is also the first I've ever heard of Kubota using HID's in anything, if that is the case.

Really depends. LED technologies have advanced so significantly in the last few years that many LED diodes now output far more light at the exact same power consumption. Almost the entire marijuana growing industry is swapping from HID/HPS to LED technologies as they can output more PAR and lumens per watt than HID/HPS that wastes a huge amount of the electricity outputting heat and infrired, etc.

I would be shocked to see ANYTHING but LED technology in lighting after a few more years. LED is outperforming and killing everything.
