I had the Cyclone Rake leaf sucker for over a decade on my old JD Garden Tractor. I adapted it to work with my BX. Needed the generic/blank mower deck adapter (Cyclone Rake part number A230K Jet Path MDA $99.00) and the longer hose (Cyclone Rake part number RPUR-08-06 URE Hose 8in dia x 6ft $142.75) I only had to drill one additional 5/6" hole in the factory mower deck!

I modified a TSC draw bar to fit the Cyclone Rake mount to fit my quick hitch

Fit perfect!

The whole unit is a bit long since I left the FEL on!

Looks good! You get all those leaves up yet?

Our leaves here finally started raining down yesterday, so I'll be Cyclone Raking big time this week. I've been asking various neighbors if I can get their leaves too since I'm after as much leaf mulch as I can get to address some erosion issues on my property. They of course think it's a little weird that I'm doing their lawn chores for free. But at least I shouldn't hear them complain about the cacophony of the wide-open BX + the loud Briggs on the CR. I love playing with these tractor toys, but this combo is loud!

Definitely loud! I wear 3M hearing protection with blue tooth so I can listen to tunes while I work. I only have to raise the deck when I'm going to dump so the Briggs is shut off.

Finished up leaves today - much easier to maneuver without the FEL mounted!

Still a really long swing behind the rear axle! I forgot the extra length and took out my mailbox when turning...

I have been running a cyclone rake on my 1870 for 3 seasons and love it. How has yours held up mechanically for as long as you had yours?

I'd hoped to be vacuuming up the last of the leaves today, but there is snow on them

Mine has been fine this is its second season. The only thing I noticed is a squeak in the lever that shuts the gas off, like there is a gasket that is deteriorating. Also the knobs that hold the engine to the cart won't stay tight, and one was stripped. They sent me two new ones for free. Still can't keep them tight, tighten every load..

Otherwise does a great job. Has anyone tried the battery powered cart lifter? Have to rake out half of the leaves before I can lift it to empty it.

All the leaves from our trees blow down the road and into the farm field next door.

The leaves in question are from my neighbor's oaks. They shed after my trees and blow across the street into my yard to stay :( I had mine looking all neat last week.

Been using my Cyclone Rake since 2003. Yep, 15 years! Have needed to replace tires a couple of times. Hint, a complete swivel wheel assembly with tire is only $14.95 at Harbor Freight and fits just fine! That's about half of what Cyclone Rake charges for just a tire.

I think that next season I will mount the power unit on one of my tractors so I can just blow the leaves along my long driveway. I will still used it as a vacuum on the lawn. I haven't decided whether to mount it on the three point or the loader. Advantages both ways. Will decide on that later.
