The L2350DT came with a D1102-AE engine, the L2650 came with a D1402-DI-AE engine.

They should be the same bolt patterns and general dimensions, and should just bolt right in.

You do know there are several up grades to the D1402 motor over the D1102, one of which is direct injection (makes it easier to start and a better performance curve), second of which is a little more HP, like 4 more.

Just a note: I normally question when someone says they have tractor XXX and their Inventory says they have tractor XYZ because it can lead to me giving misinformation.

A simple typo by alfez71, time warped his L235 ten years into the future to be a L2350.

Sad part is the L2650's D1402 probably won't fit in place of the L235's D1101, at least not with out a whole lot of work retro fitting parts. :(

This is by no means a knock on Alfez71 as we all make typos! :p

This is congruent with the information I've found. The 1402 will not bolt (with out major work) into the L235. Only engine that is easy plug and play is the D1302 from an L275.

It is remotely possible one could bore out the 1102 block and instert 1302 sleeves and pistons. There "may" be some issues with a wall too thin doing this though judging by that the only difference in the heads between 1302 and 1102 is one water jacket is different. So Im wondering if the 1302 has one water passage moved in the block compared to the 1102 block to give a thicker wall around one of the bigger piston bore. Or it could just be to improve coolant flow for the coolant pump?
