I have a chance to get one of these John Deere tillers for a good price. It would take some work to adapt it to the BX, but maybe worth the effort?......

Actually, this was just a test question to see if anybody would tell me it couldn't work. I have already modified it to work, and it work great. See my thread to follow in the fabrication forum if you want to see it. :)

DieselBob, you're just messing with us! Nice job(in your other thread)with the modifications. Those sprockets and hubs are a nice combination to work out situations like you had. And the availability and price are right.

I was curious if that was going to work. It came up on the one that Bill bought, but we never found out because his ended up needing 850 rpm and his L1500 has a 4 speed PTO, so it wasn't needed.

I'm glad I only said the PTO speed could be a problem, instead of saying it wouldn't work. I see you solved the problem. :)

Sorry about jerking with you guys, but I have grown so used to know it all jerks on the internet who swear certain things CANNOT be done, when many times there are solid practical solutions out there. I was just seeing if anyone would take the bait. Honestly, once I brought the thing home, I wasn't all that sure it would work either. :) Notice I didn't open my trap until AFTER it was done and working....

Can't be done. Hope you can get a refund.

Oh, wait............... :D

It's always fun to see what a guy can set right with some thought, a few tools and a bit of time.
