Hi I am the owner of a Kubota 5021 SC walk behind mower. I bought it new many years ago and was sad to find out they quit making them not long after I bought it. As time has passed it has become more expensive to buy parts for this mower. I am currently looking for replacement tires. I have found a couple different sources Sears Parts $56/tire and another local source for $30/tire. I was wondering if anyone knows a good affordable source for these Tires? I would greatly appreciate any information you could pass along.

Thanks!

Welcome to OTT CBB. While Sears normally has most items, they can be rather expensive. Are you fro Ohio, Georgia, or where?

I'm from Ohio. They are 8"x2" tires. I have adapted a honda tire for one of my wheels, which only cost $6, but it doesn't look quite the same. The Kubota tire from Sears costs $56 which I find ridiculous, since I used to get them for $9, 15 years ago.

The reason I asked which state is that my daughter and her two daughters live in Columbus, OH.

I guess technically, they live in New Albany.

I have a w5021 sc that has a broke drive axle. Otherwise it's in good shape. Maybe you'd be interested in it for parts. I have no idea what it would be worth and am really trying to just find someone that can repair it and use it or use it for parts. Only problem is I'm in NC and don't know how you would get it to OH. Tires on mine are old but in good condition. New bag on it. Engine is good, etc. Contact if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer. I'm not sure how much it would cost to ship the mower from NC, but it would probably exceed my commitment to the Kubota. I did my spring maintenance and it's in pretty good shape for a 25+ year old mower. If anything major would go out on it I would probably just opt for a new Honda.

I think I have my tire issue resolved. The Honda tire I adapted seems to be working fine. I may order three more so they all match and are in similar condition.

Thanks to all who responded!

Kubota Parts Depot of MB Tractor has the tires for $24.72 - that's the lowest price I could find on genuine OEM Kubota 8" tires (so I bought 4). I was tempted to try and monkey some Honda tires on there, but I feared tissue rejection. I'm currently upgrading my SC to steel wheels (9") from the SCC model (because I'm nuts).
