I don't have the option of keeping an eye on a radiator repair. I would never be able to trust rental customers to keep an eye on a radiator repair. I would never have saving $300.00 between me and a $6000.00 engine. Best insurance you can get.

$300??? Where in the world are you finding your radiators? I'd likely forego the hassle of the college-try if I could find one for $300. Red Rover, Red Rover, send the link on over!

Wow you're right. I checked with my Kubota parts guy and it was over $500.00. He checked his aftermarket source and didn't find it. Sorry for the confusion. One thing I'm certain of is that there's no way I would pay hundreds of dollars for labor. That repair is for sure a do it yourself.

aasu03,

how is it coming? Have you place radiator in tractor yet?

I see this as a problem that will be around a long time! YOUR fix will be followed many more times!;):)

I have a Kubota radiator. The numbers on the top tank are denso 32801-16011. Another set of numbers is 442134-4070. it came out of a similar tractor and is undamaged. Check your numbers. If they match, it's yours.

Mike,
Do you remember what tractor it was for off the top of your head?

Well boys.... despite my good ol' college try the epoxy didn't properly bond with the plastic. I was able to pick it off along the edges and wound up pulling a good bit off with needle-nose pliers in my frustration to see just how crappy my idea was. Coincidentally I started thinking of what a small amount of money I'd be saving by "repairing" it as opposed to replacing it versus the cost of a new engine... yeah I'm getting a new one! Nonetheless, I found lawneq.com has them in stock and costs $399 delivered! So That's the route I'm gonna take. Now I've gotta find those damned small square inset nuts that fell out. Joy.

When it rains it pours... So apparently Kubota raised their prices on parts so says the parts-guy from Lawneq.com and it's not $475+S&H not $399 delivered as it was last freaking week on their website!!!

So how did this turn out?

The same thing happened to me today on a L2501 I bought yesterday! It's a 2016 used, with only 15 hours on it, so I'm really bummed out about it. In my case the tree branch pushed the lower radiator hose into the fan and broke off the lower radiator connector just like happened to you.

I posted a question on tractorbynet and someone pointed me here remembering your thread. I was asking about running the tractor without coolant for less than a minute to get it on my trailer.

Did you talk to any radiator shops about repair?
