Have a M8580. When started, lights indicate "alarm against electrical charge system troubles". Took alternator to test, no problems with it. Any other suggestions as to where to look from here?

Clean both positive and negative cable ends at battery, clean ground cable end where it bolts to tractor and positive cable end at starter. A good share of the time it is where ground cable is bolted to the tractor frame.
Also check the fan belt tension.

Yes, when I increase the rpm the lights go out. Replaced battery a short while ago, so re-did connections at battery, but will check the others. Thanks for the info.
