I have no such problem with my Kubota QH10 . Does your pot shat on cutter need greasing so you can pull it forward ?

Two options if it does not extend out far enough:

Get a PTO extender (I don't like them)
Get a new PTO shaft that is longer to fit.

No Poohbear, my PTO was cut to fit my tractor and roto-tiller prior to me installing the quick hitch. The hitch moves the tiller approximately 4” rearward which makes the shaft a little bit short.

Pros/Cons of a PTO extender?
My thoughts,
1. PTO extender is cheaper and easier to install.
2. New PTO shaft costs more than a extender.
3. My present PTO shaft has a slip clutch.

#1 Con, is they are never completely centered or balanced and can cause some serious PTO shaft bearing wear.

Ok I will buy a new PTO shaft from Tractor Supply. Since my present shaft have a slip clutch, can I get a new shaft without a slip clutch and install my old slip clutch to the new shaft? OBTW, I forgot to mention that my rotor tiller is a Countryline tiller, I I purchased from Tractor Supply.

The right places you can just buy half the shaft that you need to make it long enough.

I'm not sure which PTO shaft you have, some will allow you to remove the slip clutch some won't.

I have the countryline (Tartar) PTO shaft, which came with my countryline (Tartar) tiller, purchased from Tractor Supply.

Melvin, this may not help in your situation, but here’s what I do to make hooking up implements easier (only two of my implements are quick hitch compatible without modifications). I back up close to the implement, point the edge of the bucket straight down and set it on the ground, get off and get the arms lined up with three point lever, then I use the bucket to push or pull the tractor forward or backwards if needed. Once I get one side attached to the lower arms I can push or pull the tractor with the bucket to line up the other side.

Definitely not as easy as a quick hitch but just throwing that out there.

Third option, go to a driveline specialist shop and either have them replace the shaft portion using your yokes and slip clutch, or just get the pieces and do it yourself. It can be a struggle to get shaft out of the yoke, but it's doable.

Or 4th option. Will the Landpride one fit better and not require all this extra work?
