What is the correct way to check the oil level in the front axle on my B21 and what is the fluid type to be used etc?

Not sure if the B series varies from the BX series, but the BX has a dip stick on the left side as your sitting on it. The BX book calls for 80w-90 or Super UTD fluid.

Ask other Idaho operators.......and there are several! I would say in the winter, you will want a S-UDT2 in there. 80w90 might be a bit "thick" when you want to go plow some snow ....when the temps hit single digits! Where as S-UDT2 will pour somewhat like water at those temps.
And don't forget to check with the tractor reasonably level...and if you haven't checked the torque on the pivot bolt now is a good time. Mine weeps quite a bit on the pivot.

Is that the "yellow" plastic thing on the top of the axel itself?B21, UDT or SUDT will work great.
